Myself, Husband and two children arrived here on 2nd October 2006. We had booked up for four nights in a 3 bedroom standard caravan. We arrived for check in at 3.30pm as requested and only had to queue for 10 mins for our key and linen which wasn't bad.
It was only a short drive from main reception to our van. We went in and looked around to see that everything was there like cutlery, crockery, gas fire and all other appliances and everything was ok. Only problem was some stinky person who previously stayed there had left dirty and I mean really dirty knickers underneath the bed in the main bedroom yuck!!
We decided to walk around to see what was on site. There was a small fairground, a go-cart track and a huge adventure playground all next to our van which was nice. en-route to the entertainment complex there a vans selling chinese food and do-nuts etc if you're feeling peckish!
On entering the main building there is an amusement arcade, a burger king, which is more expensive than if you went into your local one. A coffee shop which was always closed! up some steps in the centre of the arcade there was a small bar and also a fish and chip shop.
Entertainment for the kids is fab, there were pantomimes, a magician and also a gymnastics show. You have to get there for 6pm sharp to get a seat otherwise you will have to stand through the show which is annoying! There is a gift shop in the show bar area that sells all of the Haven characters, I lost count of the amount of times I had to run in there and drag my screaming two year old out! Toys can be expensive on average of £6.00 for a small cuddly toy. It is about £7.50 for a 4 pint pitcher of beer which isn't too bad, but I have to warn you that if you have really small children and prefer them to have fruit juice rather than fizzy pop, then bring your own. You're not supposed to but I didn't want my toddler guzzling on coke! Also in the room there is a face painter and temporary tatooist, a major attraction for my six year old! Children can have their photo's taken with the characters after the show has finished. Photographs can be purchased from the digital shop at the back of the show bar.
When kiddies entertainment has finished, there is another bar to go into which I didn't particularly like because entertainment wasn't geared around kids and the room smelt funny, like chip fat!
Overall we had a lovely time, but I have to say there was an awful lot of seagulls on top of caravans and a tad annoying when there running up and down your roof at 7am!!

Advantages: Excellent Entertainment, Shops, people and atmosphere Disadvantages: The prices are good and bad and so is the quality of some of the caravans .

Review of Havens holiday parks
Advantages: Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment Disadvantages: Can be pricey if you like the amusements. Lots of energy needed for the hills.
