Myself and my family went on holiday last September to Haven Holiday Park - Wild Duck. Which is located about approx 10-15 miles away from Great Yarmouth. This not not one of the big Havens, but is a very friendly and had everything we wanted.
We did not stay in one of their holiday homes or chalets we went camping in our tent. As we were going just as the school holidays had finished, the 1st week in September, we were only charged £23 for 5 nights.
This price included fun passes for the whole family so we were able to enjoy all the facilities on the park. The children were able to join in with activities in the mornings, which included painting, drawing and general childrens games. There is 2 swimmming pools on site, an indoors one and an outdoors pool. The outdoors pools was such as it was not peak season, but the indoors on was open between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm, outside those times seemed to be for members. There was a main pool which was quite big and a childrens paddling pool all in the same area. There is a changing room at the pool and toilets, as well as lockers which needed 20p to be able to lock your things up. There were quite a few of them brocken, but maybe it was because it was the end of season.
Also, on the camp is a shop that sells your everyday things, and a chip shop. The shop is as you would expect the prices to be, rather over inflated, but there is another shop just outside Haven, which is easy to walk to and much better priced. The chip shop is very reasonably priced and lovely, we all enjoyed cheesy chips on more than one occasion, and is open until 11pm everyday. There is also a restaruant and bar on site, where you can get breakfast, lunch & tea. We had lunch there 1 day, the prices were not out of this world, but they didn't really have that much variety.
The evening entertainment starts at about 6 which Bingo (this is not included in your fun passes, you have to buy books), then followed by childrens entertainment, which my children loved, then it moves to the adults. I can't tell you about the adult entertainment as I never got to see it having small children.
The toilet block has showers, wash basins, a washing up facility for your dirty dishes and washing machines and tumble dryers. They were all cleaned regularly and were in an good state of repair. Near the toilet block was a tennis court and childrens play area. The play area wasn't the best in the world, but has all the basics that children want, and mine loved it.
The camping area was very nice and everyone was really friendly. On the Haven website it says that tents over 19 feet are not always allowed, but I saw many a tent over that size. There was wardens that drove round all the time to make sure there was nothing wrong, and there were lights that came on at night.
There is alot to do around Yarmouth, and a regular bus services that takes you straight to Yarmouth town center and only cost us £2 return. Reception have a list of times and also other entertainment in the local area.
All in all we had a great time and all the staff and fellow holiday makers couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. We will definately go back.

Advantages: Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment Disadvantages: Can be pricey if you like the amusements. Lots of energy needed for the hills.
