Hawaii Volcano Helicopter Tour

...We wanted a variation on the tour whereby we wanted to go to San Francisco first to break the journey and New York on the way back. The sales staff were excellent in getting us the type of 4 star accomodation we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. The tour guide in Hawaii was superb and looked after everyone very well. (Well done Pam.) We went to 4 islands over the 3 weeks, which involved flights between each. The trips were great and we went on a helicopter trip in Kaui where we went into the valley where they filmed Jurassic Park. It was awesome. The video that went with it which we bought ($20)was our own individual journey which we didn't realise until we got home with it, but it was edited excellently with commentary from the pilot as well as background music. ...Did I mention that I was in Hawaii earlier this year?!:) (Must have been the third or fourth time I stated this). Anyway, this is an op about my travel on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Big Island is so named because it is the biggest island within the state of Hawaii. The island is dotted with coffee and macadamia nut plantations as well as the usual volcanoes. Scientists are still arguing whether there is one big volcano or three separate ones. Every now and then, during our drive around the island, we saw the occasional gas venting from the earth, an indication that we were near an active volcano. Volcanoes National Park The island itself is quite big, if you compare it to the other small islands, and for this reason the big island has so much to offer it can be a hard times to choose what you want to see, especially when you have a limited amount of time. Me and my friends wanted to see a volcano, its probably one of the reasons we were attracted to Hawaii as we had heard the volcano tours were both exciting.
