...The Best Western Gleneagles describes itself as been located in a chic area of Torquay which is about 12 min taxi ride from the station, It boasts 41 modern rooms many of which have ocean views and all of which have private balconies, all rooms are tastefully designed with en suite bathroom, TV, hairdryer and hot drinks refreshment tray. Prices can vary depending on the time of year you visit this hotel and if any special offers are present. I myself was attending a trade show in Torquay and required a smoking room of which I was informed this hotel has 11 such rooms for those wishing to smoke, the rest of the hotel is of course non smoking to comply with regulations. ...Both my Husband and I were looking to get away last minute (8th & 9th August '06) and decided to set our hearts upon Torquay. We have visited Torquay before but haven't had the pleasure of staying so off I went on Google to search for hotels/guesthouses in Torquay. I stumbled across the Meadfoot Bay Hotel and I thought it was great that they had their own website www.meadfoot.com. I browsed the pages and was happy with what i saw, so decided to pick up the phone to see if they had any availability. Lucky for us, they had 1 room left which was a double and incidentally was room No.1. The hotel itself is set 200m from Meadfoot bay (a superb, quiet spot with excellent walks and a lovely beach). ...Welcome to my Review of The Belgrave Hotel, Torquay. My review is going to tell you everything you need to know about the Hotel. What its like to stay there, The surroundings etc. Where? --------- The Belgrave is situated in the centre of Torquays seafront. The superb location boasts 22 miles of coastline, 18 beaches and lots of tourist attractions, which isnt surprising as the bay is Britains top resort.
