Advantages: everything really Disadvantages: none at all
...I have used Canberra Airport (or Brindabella) three times in the last year. Twice for national flights and once to go to Hong Kong. Every time, I was there, I enjoyed the experience.
When you first arrive, you see a lovely entrance and a big lake outside.
Flights
Several big airlines fly in and out of Canberra including Qantas (international), Virgin Blue (over Australia), Ansett and Hazelton (state).
The Airport
The Airport is almost in the middle of Canberra. It is situated near the river. It is directly beside an RAAF Base and has roads and rail-links all around it.
Car parking is $13AUS a day the last time I visited, this hasn’t changed in quite a while so it is probably the same. You can pay more ($17.50AUS) to get premium parking facing the main terminal, I think this is a waste of time unless you really are busy and rich...

Advantages: Great Friendly Service Disadvantages: Not the great airline empire it used to be
...Although Ansett flies still as Kendell etc. Ansett has become a microscopic airline compared to the airline it used to be. Ansett became bankrupt 2 days after Sept. 11th. Although the Airline itself has deteriorated, it's committed service towards it's customers has not.
The Decision
I flew with Qantas from London to Sydney. After arriving, my next flight on Virgin Blue to Adelaide was unfortunately cancelled. And I was able to purchase a ticket for only $89 Australian.
The Flight
This Airline isn't one of those very cheap airlines. First you'll notice how clean and tidy the cabin is. The Aircrew are very friendly and are really helpful. During the short-flight, snacks and drinks were...

Advantages: Excellent service Disadvantages: none apparent
...I have always read in survey that Malaysian Airlines are one of the best airlines but it is still always behind Singapore and Emirates Airlines. I have travel with Malaysian Airlines and Singapore Airlines. Both are equally good. Thus it makes me wonder on the criteria the survey takes on to rate those Airlines. Later I learned that the survey was refering to the First Class service in the airline. I know don't ... as I only travel in economy class. But I can assure you, Malaysian airlines provides one of the best service in the economy class. Especially with Boeing 777, you are able to choose your own entertainment, be it watching movie, listening to radio or playing games. The stewards and stewardess are very helpful and polite too.
If you are going to travel in economy class.. Choose Malaysian Airlines... you will never regret it...
