Advantages: Friendly staff, clean Disadvantages: Pricey, can have a few problems
...taken off the menu straight away ad was offered something else. Another customer came in and asked for the steak and another waiter who was taking the customers order explained that he had to be taken off the menu.
I would say the hotel would be perfect for 1-3 nights stay but no more as there have been a few times that we were over charged on the drinks or food ( always check your bill) the heating was on then turned straight off for some unknown reason.
We have found out that things usually go wrong if they are changing over staff.
The price is way too pricey for what you really get. When we went to pay our bill for stayi9ng there the lady wasnt helpful and when we queried a bit of the bill as we were overcharged she got really funny and said she will take £15 of out £275 bill. Dont expect excellent service later on in...

Advantages: Lovely location, excellent food and staff. Rooms were great. Disadvantages: A bit remote, Noisy shredder in the toilet.

There were ground floor rooms available for the less mobile.

We booked this hotel with superbreak and got an unbeatable deal for the May spring bank holiday weekend. We would say that the Ennerdale country house hotel is not the ritz, but for great value for money, lovely central surroundings great food and rooms it's certainly worth a look....
