It the point of rental I concidered it prudent to take the CDW to limit by liability. The car pickup was easy, I was shown around the car in seconds and no panel scuffs / dents / dings where present.
On return of the car, the Hertz Rental operator got on his hands and knee's and started to crawl around the bottom of the car and brought to my attension a small stone chip on the car front skirt. This small chip was between 1-2mm and could not be seen whilst stood up. A similar event took place on the rear of the vehicle.
To my amazement, he said the car was damaged by me and they would be charging me the insurance excess. I strongly objected, but the HERTZ Rep just stood and looked.
I subsequently refused to sign any paper work and walked from the Hertz rental desk in utter dis belief.
I have submitted a complaint to HERTZ Customer Relations File EJ8974, but have had no contact.
Could do with some more info to gain higher ratings. Take a look at others review and you will soon get to know the level of info that is needed for a very helpful review if not more. x
