I have never seen a company hide so many additional charges in small print before- what they actually charged my card had nothing to do with the price they quoted me!
When I read my credit card statement I called Hertz only to be called 'stupid' for not reading their terms and conditions.... But then it didn't say anything about these charges in the terms and conditions I read.
In fact, they had indeed detailed all their 'unquoted' costs they were going to charge my card - within 1 of 34 pages hidden in a popup, launched by a tiny button in the bottom of their page.
Is it too much to ask for a company to be upfront with it's charges instead of hiding them where they know no one will read?
My advice is becareful with Hertz - you could get more than you bargained for!
