Structure of the resort
In the morning it was easy to see that actually our monster of a resort was going to be easy to move around, the whole resort was made of a huge reception and main entrance, around 30 hotel buildings, a main restaurant, a man made stream and lake, two swimming pools which were huge a beach and beach bar and lots of greenery and things i have probably forgotten.
The Beach
We spent a few days of our holiday on the beach, it was a long stretch and full of sun beds and umbrellas. Luckily thanks to the time of year it was, even though the resort was very full of people, it was easy to find a quiet corner if we needed one.
I love beaches and this one was definitely a good one, however even though it was sandy, the sand was very hard and contained lots ...
Introduction:
As I live locally, I'd never had much reason to stay at the hotel but was recently made an offer I couldn't refuse. One night's stay at the hotel, dinner for two, use of leisure facilities and breakfast in the morning. How much did I pay? Nothing. We stayed here for two weeks all-inclusive at christmas and new year 2006/2007, we being my wife and I, and we picked it as it had very good reviews on trip advisor and was very reasonably priced.
Sharm El Sheikh
Sharm is a man made resort on the red sea coast and is basically just one straight road in the desert, running parrallel with the coast, with the airport in the middle and then many hotels either side of it. The hotels themselves are more like mini resorts than just hotels, and are either on the sea side of the road with sea frontage or the desert side with none but access to a beach over the road. Many of the hotels have more than one pool and some have fun pools with slides and water falls etc., they also have other things going on like zoo's, casinos, shopping centres etc.. They all seem to have multiple ...
