On the plus side it is quiet, warm and some of the land scapes can be very pictoreque. This place would only be for people who want to get away from life and reality and is DEFINATLY NOT for kids who nead to be kept occupied. You can get there(if you would ever want to) by flying to Tenerife(much more exciting place) and then taking a boat to Hierro. My rating out of ten would be 2/10 and is a definate NO GO.
Advantages: Good weather all year round. Great for families. Disadvantages: gets very busy in peak times.

This is definately a resort more suited for young people as there is a stretch with hundreds of bars and nightclubs on each side called Veronicas. You would probably find it too busy and noisy if you dont like lively nightlife. We went in october for two weeks when it had died down a bit but it was still fairly busy.
