Having stayed a over 15 Hilton Hotels across the UK over the years it is fair to say that they vary greatly. Unlike some other chain hotels, Hilton's can be a risky experience.
Avisford Park is one of the better choices. Upon entry to the grounds it has a long driveway which leads to a beautiful hotel frontage. It is set in acres of peaceful parkland which is great on a summers day. The general feel of the hotel is a relaxed slow time environment which is most suited to adults, Whilst the hotel does not discourage children it does not present itself to attract them and few are found there. This is a good place to stay for a 2 night stay for two adults . Having stayed there twice (this year and '03), on both occassions the food and service was top class, way beyond the 2 night price of £139 in total for 2 adults with breakfast on both mornings and dinner on the first night. The rooms (we stayed in the newer wing) were of a good standard if a little separated from the main part of the hotel. Close by is 2 top class horse race tracks (everyone should go once in a lifetime), Chichester (for shopping) and Arundel (for the Castle).
In summary this hotel offers exceptional value for money on the two night deal they often offer. In the nicest possible way, a weekend here can last for a long time and you will leave feeling refreshed and stress free.

Sorry, but where exactly is Avisford?

Bollinger28 29.11.2004 21:23

I know it well - it's very near to my old house, but sad to say I've never been there. Lexy
