I booked in advance through conference organisers. This was a mistake. Suggest you make own arrangement with hotel direct. I paid £135 for a small single bedded room with an old TV. I reckon I could have got this same room well under £100 if I had booked myself direct. Being the closest hotel to the NEC is probably why it is one of the most expensive. I compared my facilities with others in different hotels. They all had better value for money. Hotel was clean with decent breakfast. Howver I did order a newspaper. I was charged for it but it never arrived. Then I made use of the rapid checkout service which promised a receipt would be sent on to me. This did not occur so I had to telephone the hotel for this. In summary a very overpriced hotel for facilities offerred and service provided.

Advantages: The lobby and restaraunts just might make you feel like a high flyer. Disadvantages: Gloomy exterior, matched by the anonymous bedrooms. Extortionately expensive, for what it is.
