Booking the hotel was easy - I had a look around the usual internet sites and managed to get one of the hotel's double rooms, with a full breakfast included, for £70. The rate advertised by the hotel is £90 per room per night with breakfast costing in the region of £7 per person on top of that.

Checking in was easy and I was impressed with the touches in the foyer area - fresh fruit and lovely flower displays. I eavesdropped on the couple ahead of me and they had just joined the Hilton HHonours club - this gave them two bottles of water in their room - hardly an "extra"...
The room itself was spacious and overlooked the Town Hall and main road. The windows were sliding double-glazed and easily opened to let much needed air in. There was no air-conditioning but the room did have a free-standing fan. The usual tea and coffee were provided and I checked out the bathroom goodies - Crabtree and Evelyn "Le Source" body wash, shampoo and conditioner, but strangely no soap. The room also had an ironing board and iron, one spare pillow (making a total of 3 pillows in the room) and someone's dirty sock....
Whilst the decor in the room was clean and modern the furniture was tatty in places. All the dark wood had lost its stain on the edges and there were heat marks in several places.
The big disappointment was the bed. Maybe I've become too used to US sizes but this so-called double can't have been more than 4 feet wide. It had a bad case of the creaks and the springs, in places, had sprung their last. We struggled to fit two pillows side-by-side on it. In a four-star hotel I was expecting more.
Closer inspection of the shower was probably a bad idea. The shower head was blocked with mould and the tile grouting was also mouldy. The extraction system did not work and the towel rail did not heat. The hairdryer was one of those very old fashioned ones that are attached to the wall and only give out a trickle of very hot air. I gave up on drying my hair as it would have taken far too long.
The only thing to recommend the Hilton was the breakfast. There was a wide selection of cereals, juices, fruit, pastries as well as the normal full cooked extravagnaza (including whisky for your porridge). The Britisserie was cramped and the staff struggled to move around the room because the tables and chairs were so close together.
I'm glad I was only there for one night. If you go, do what we didn't, and ask for a different room!
Advantages: Central location, comfortable, courteous staff :) Disadvantages: I can'twrite any or I'll get the sack!

The HiltonBradford is a modern Hotel with all the facilities one would expect in such an establishment.
The reception area is currently being renovated (there was nothing up with it before) so God (and maybe Mr Hilton of Hilton Group plc) only knows what it's going to look like, but judging by the current, makeshift reception it's going to be done out very luxuriously (is that a word?) and will be very comfortable. Therefore first impressions of the Hotel at present may not be very good, but if I go off what it was like before it should attract the more upmarket people (so why am I posting it on Ciao?) to the hotel. The rooms are about £45 a night (don't quote me on that) max and from the photo's on the web look extremely comfortable. You can also benefit from a number of savings opportunities such as the Hilton HHonors programme, where you ...
Advantages: Great weekend rates, first class hotel. Disadvantages: Rennovation work downstairs.
First of all, if you are thinking of visiting this hotel, get a copy of the Hilton leisure brochure. Summer 2002 rates start at £24 each B&B- 2 sharing- which is an absolute bargain.
Very central, just in front of Bradford Interchange Station. Driving into the town is fairly easy, but watch the one way system. You park in the NCP car park next door, chargable at £2.50 night or £5.00 day with discount tickets from the hotel.
Front rooms overlook the town hall, which is lovely and worth asking for- only moan is the clock striking each hour. Rear rooms are quieter.
All rooms are well furnished, very clean and very comfortable. Great bathrooms! You can get a "club room" for an extra fee with booking which gives you a better room with extras; or for a bit more still an "Executive Suite". I would ask for a room higher up, as the views ...
Advantages: Very centrally located, & very modern. Disadvantages: Small portions on the meals & quite pricy, although not really majorly overpriced for a Hilton.
I stayed in this hotel in October 2000, and had a very pleasant stay. I had a special weekend rate that I saw advertised over the internet, for around £60 for a twin room, so it was cheap enough.
We checked in around 5pm, although I think you could check in from around 2pm. The check in staff were particularly helpful & pleasant. The rooms were very nice. Nice furniture etc, & very clean. They were a bit small, but were spacious enough. Taxi's etc were arranged for us, and were accurate & arrived on time.
We had room service which is available 24 hours. The prices werent overpriced for a hotel, & the food was very nice, but extremely small portions.
It's very conveniently located in the centre of Bradford. The main train, bus & coach station is just behind the hotel, & it overlooks the Town Hall. St. Georges Hall ...
