resort complex with a private beach, set amid natural lagoons in landscaped grounds by the shores of the Red Sea. The 163 air conditioned guestrooms and suites extend to terraces with views of the mountains, the sea or the lagoons, and include individual parking spaces, satellite television, direct dial phones with voicemail, and minibars. The resort is set in grounds landscaped with shallow salt water lakes and features a large open air swimming pool complete with a terrace overlooking the Red Sea. The grounds adjoin the resort's private beach, where guests can explore the wonders of the deep on snorkelling excursions, try their hand at water skiing, windsurfing and kayaking or relax with a drink from the beach bar. The onsite scuba diving centre offers courses ranging from introductory classes to instructor training. The resort also offers a putting green and facilities for tennis and table tennis. The three onsite restaurants offer a choice of freshly caught local seafood, themed buffets or traditional Italian fare. In the evenings, guests can sip drinks and watch the sunset from the terrace of the Coconut bar, and Turkish coffee and shisha pipes are offered in the Windjammer bar. Younger guests will enjoy playing games in the kids' club, and a playground and children's pool are provided on site. Babysitting services and children's menus are also available. Guests wishing to explore the area will find the dramatic geological landscape of the Coloured Canyon 80 kilometres from the hotel, and Mount Sinai, or Moses Mountain, is 110 kilometres away. Sharm el Sheikh International Airport is 97 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.

Advantages: Luxurious, watersports, great lagoon, good food Disadvantages: Extra food and drinks expensive, no snorkelling in lagoon
The Hilton Dahab is a fairly green hotel spread across the Dahab coastline. There is a nice golden sand beach, although it is too hot to walk on without shoes in summer, so I would recommend buying some beach/swimming shoes from the hotel shop. The lagoon in lovely for swimming and very walm, although there is little in terms of marine life. There is a dive centre (sinai divers) which can arrange diving and snorkelling trips and courses.
...deal as you could have a pizza or snack for lunch on the beach (expensive)! The breakfasts are hilton standards (fantastic) and the buffet dinners are also good.
There is a games room with billiards and table tennis which you can hire.
The rooms are in blocks, and are very comfortable, as you would expect from a 5* hotel. There may be an amount of walking to the beach, as the resort is quite large.

We were on Half board, which was a good deal as you could have a pizza or snack for lunch on the beach (expensive)! The breakfasts are hilton standards (fantastic) and the buffet dinners are also good.

Overall, I would recommend Hilton Dahab for watersports enthusiasts (especially windsurfing), or people who just like sun, sea and sand. There is also a pool if you don't like the sea.
Advantages: Location - short stroll into Na'ama Bay. Good swimming pools Disadvantages: Poor service, expensive food and drink
We stayed at the Hilton Sharm Dreams in Sharm el Sheik in September 07 for 7 nights. Overall the stay was pleasant, but I think that if I returned to Sharm el Sheik then I would try a different hotel (we have stayed at the Hilton in Dahab and the Intercontinental in Hurghada, both of which I preferred to this hotel)
On arrival at the hotel, check in was relatively painless. The rooms themselves were fine, although not as luxurious as some other 5 star Egyptian hotels I have stayed in. They were quite large and we had a terrace with a table and chairs and also a table and chairs inside the room.
The bathroom was adequate and quite clean, although again, not fantastic. After using up the toiletries within the room, we had to wait a number of days for these to be refreshed and even then we didn't get a full selection (which I ...
