Advantages: Comfortable, amazing bathroom, nice rooms Disadvantages: Small rooms, random cleaning times!
On my recent trip to the USA I left Mr Tart to book the hotel for New York. Normally I wouldn?t leave it to him as I?d end up in the cheapest hostel but my influence is obviously rubbing off as he came up trumps with the Hilton!
LOCATION:
The HiltonGardenInn is located at 63 West 35th Street. We wanted something pretty central so we could pay for as little transport as possible. We couldn?t really have done much better. We were a two minute walk from Macys (very important for the girls!) and a 10 minute walk to Times Square. There was also a subway stop literally 10 metres from the entrance to the hotel.
PRICES:
We stayed in the hotel for two nights. Mr Tart booked through Priceline so we didn?t know exactly what we were going to get but he?d stipulated area and minimum star rating. We paid $293.03 which came through ...
Advantages: In a good location, many friendly members of staff, spacious rooms Disadvantages: Questionable hygiene and maintenance issues
stretch as well as a Tesco?s Extra, just in case your packing skills aren?t up to scratch.. It?s undeniable that this Hilton is in a great location food-wise but I?d personally recommend the pub about a mile down the road called The Red Lion, a part of the Ember Inn pub chain, if you are a slightly older guest without a young family to cater for. I?d recommend driving to your restaurants, perhaps not if you?re planning on getting drunk; the road is very busy and can be quite hazardous to try and cross.
The Coventry Hilton is at Junction 2 of the M6/M69 and is a building you can see from the road, with its immense four floors of rooms. The hotel is situated right next to a business park but I would implore you not to be put off by this or the fact that the building is right next to a motorway; traffic noise wasn?t too much of an issue in ...
Advantages: Unusual, interesting place with lots to do and see. Disadvantages: Having to leave at the end of the day!
at the top, you can really feel the buzzing atmosphere it has built up over the centuries. It is a bit of a climb to get to the top, which wouldn't really be suited to the older generation, but is well worth it so you can see the views and experience the magic you can feel up there.
Another wonderful place to visit in Glastonbury is the Chalice Well. The well is one of the oldest holy wells in Britain that is still used today. The well was used right back in prehistoric times and has been in constant use ever since. The atmosphere in the Chalice Well Gardens is relaxing and inspirationally spiritual. You can also drink and take away as much natural spring water from the gardens as you want. It is all perfectly safe!! It only costs around £3 to enter the grounds of the well, and the ticket lasts for the whole day, so you can go back as ...
