Hilton Leicester, Leicester

We stayed at the Hilton hotel in Leicester as we fancied a night away from home. There was no particular reason for choosing this particular hotel, we just thought why not. The hotel is located three miles from Leicester city centre. It is just off junction 21of the M1. It is 25 minutes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport. Check in is from 3pm and checkout is 12pm.

In every room, there is internet access which costs £15 per night-way beyond expensive if you ask me!There is a business centre, with 10 meeting room, which can accomdate from 2 to 150 people. We stayed in a double room. As there were three of us, the sofa be was made up. We found that the room was plenty big enough, even with the sofa bed set up. We didnt feel squashed at all in the room. Facilities in the room include the following:
LCD TV, tea/coffee facilities, desk, chair, sofa(or extra bed), radio/alarm clock, phone and expensive internet access.

We thought that the room was modern and up to date. As the roads are busy in the area around the hotel, it was surprising how little of it we could here in our room. The bed itself was comfortable. At night thought that i was too cold without the quilt on and too hot with it! As we were located on the ground floor, we didnt want to open the window and there is no air conditioning system in the room.

While at the hotel we did use the pool. The pool isnt huge, but it is big enough for going for a quick swim, ad people dont seem to mind kids being there. The good thing is is that you dont need to take your room towels down to the pool, you just show your room key and then the staff give you as many as you require. There is also a gym, which is small, but has the usual equipment found in a gym.

We didnt eat in the restaurant in the evening, so I cant comment on the the service or anything. We did have breakfast, which we foount to be really nice. There is the usual full English. There are also a range of different breads, fruits, yoghurts and cereals. The staff are also friendly and helpful. When you check in, they advise going early for breakfast as it aparently gets really busy.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We thought that the room was comfortable and plenty big enough for the three of us. We found the breakfast to be really tasty too. The hotel isnt far from the city centre and is also located near the Fosse Shopping Park.
