The Kensington Hilton is a slight misnomer as it is closer to Holland Park. It is easy to find, just off the motorway. The underground car park is not owned by Hilton, but you can get a discount coupon from reception if you are resident. The exterior and lobby are very impressive, with green coated doormen and at least two people manning the concierge desk at all times.
Rooms however are a big disappointment. Small and cramped, often with just a shower and no bath. Room service meals are poor, clearly prepared by porters rather than chefs. There is a Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel, and the bar offers snacks. The whole hotel gives the impression that it was last overhauled in the early eighties and it could do with a large investment to bring it up to scratch.
When staying at this Hilton you are paying for the lobby and location. I would not recommend this hotel.

Advantages: Superb, friendly, efficient staff who immediately make you feel at home. Most efficient font desk. Disadvantages: Room was a little small - but this IS London!
