~~Location~~
The Metropole Hilton hotel is in an ideal location for both business and sightseeing. It is about a ten minute walk from Paddington station and fifteen minute walk from London city centre. However if your not up for walking everyday, it is two minutes away from Edgeware underground station. The hotel is located on the busy Edgeware road, however none of the noise can be heard within the hotel.
~~The Hotel~~
Our first impressions of this hotel were very good, we were greeted by a porter stood at the main doors who pointed us in the direction of the reception area. The reception area is beautiful, the floors are all marble and in my opinion very grand looking! (can you tell I am not used to staying in places like that!?). Close to the reception area is a concierge desk where all the staff are very knowledgeable with regards to local attractions. There is also a bar area and seating area.My partner and I stayed in this hotel on a recent trip to London for the weekend and were both really pleased with our choice in hotel. We managed to get the hotel cheap on lastminute.com, the total cost of our stay was £117 for two nights including a buffet style breakfast. This was cheaper than it would have been to stay in a Travelodge!!
As already mentioned the hotel was in a great location. We got the train to London Paddington and it took us no longer ten minutes to walk round to the hotel. The Edgeware Road underground is on the Bakerloo line, which was ideal for all the places we intended to visit.
The hotel itself was lovely and the staff extremely friendly. We paid for a king-size room, check in itself was very quick and easy despite the vast amount of people waiting in reception. On checking in staff offered to take our bags to our room (although we felt a bit lazy saying yes as we only had a small bag each!). The room itself was very clean - just as you would expect from a Hilton hotel, there was tea, coffee and hot chocolate available within the rooms. Each room has a folder with all the local attractions and tube links. There is a lovely bathroom with separate bath and shower and two sinks.
When booking the hotel we were made aware that the hotel had an indoor swimming pool and gym area - although we I cant pass comment on this as we were there for a relaxing weekend, not to exercise! The website also stated that three different restaurants were available for eating, however we only went to one for our breakfast.
Although we were very impressed with the hotel room we didn’t intend to spend much time in the room and it was the hotel staff we were most impressed with. Their local knowledge is vast, including all the popular tourist areas, tube links and which tube lines to use. Within the reception area they provide you with any leaflets etc you may need.
~~The Food~~
Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant at night, our breakfast was included within the price of the stay and we were very impressed with both the food and the service. The breakfast was a buffet style including cooked breakfast, fruit, cereals, pastries, yoghurts, jams, toasts and fruit juices. We had no complaints with regards to the food and filled ourselves up every morning so as to avoid having to buy snacks later on!! The restaurant staff were very efficient, quickly cleared the tables and regularly topped up tea and coffee at your table. All in all a great stay for a reasonably price, would definitely recommend!!

INTRODUCTION
The Hilton London Metropole hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk down the Edgeware Road from Oxford Street. It is conveniently close to the Edgeware Road Tube Station and many bus links. Marylebone train station is about 20 minutes walk away, or 5 minutes on the bus.
ENTRANCE
The entrance of this Hilton hotel is beautifully classy. After you have walked through a dark marble exterior entrance, and crossed a small taxi bypass, you ... ...step into the rotating entrance door. As you walk onto the marble flooring, you are met with a fairly dimly lit, but marvellous hallway. There is a bar and seating area to your right, a concierge desk straight in front of you and the check-in desks are to your left. The multi-lingual staff on the check-in arrange a room for you and hand over an electronic card to you, which is used to enter your room.

Advantages: A really nice good quality hotel Disadvantages: Room could be updated a little
My boyfriend booked two nights in this hotel for me as a Christmas present. On arrival by tube it was very easy to find. The hotel is serviced by Edgware Road station on the Bakerloo, Distirct and Circle lines and so has excellent connections. It's impossible to miss the hotel on exiting the staion. Although we didn't use the buses there was a constant stream of them up and down Edgware Road.
First impressions on walking into the hotel were brilliant. ... ...marble and luxury. The check-in service was excellent, and in spite of there being a queue we were sorted quickly and directed to the lifts to find our room. This hotel is huge, but the rooms and lifts well signed and easy to find. The room was lovely, with a massive comfortable bed and nice bathroom, usual hospitality tray etc. The view out of the window was nothing great, of a police station but in central London I have found very few hotels can ...

Advantages: Great place to stay. Disadvantages: Slightly pricey, but still worth it.
I've stayed here a few times now, mainly to attend conventions the hotel has acted as host for. I found the rooms to be very comfortable whic afforded me the luxury of a good nights rest. Clean, tidy and roomy enough even for a large built guy like myself.
The self serve breakfast was a little limited for choice, but very nicely cooked. What impressed me most of all was the constant flow of fresh orange juice and coffee which was brought to the ... ...we each had a large coffee pot, which was replaced with a fresh one when it got low. It was also one of the best coffees I'd ever had, and I'm very particular about my morning coffee.
The price wasn't too bad, even though I usually stay in places like the Premier Inn and Travel Lodge. It was worth the extra.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They seemed to be mostly made up of Australians, which I assumed were students earning their way. Well ...
