This hotel says it runs a shuttle bus to Universal but we never saw the bus and the walk to he front gates of the theme park is about 5 minutes. That is the benefit of staying here- being able to get into the park as soon as it opens though we did have a problem when asking staff what time that opening was. We were told 2 different times by two staff members so it worth checking with the park direct.
The hotel itself is a bit anonymous in the sense it doesn't have a lot of character though there is a pool with hot tub if you fancy it.
Strongly suggest you book breakfast with your room rate - the Hilton buffet contains everything you could think of and sets you up for a day in the theme park.
The Universal Citywalk is packed with shops and restaurants and entertainment so again very easy to access from the hotel if you are not eating there. If you have kids then chances are they will want a fun dining experience and not the kind of formal hotel dining teh Hilton offers in the evening.
