I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this has been the first time I have every stayed at a resort. I stayed at this resort hotel for a week and I liked it so much that I would go back again. I got a wonderful deal with the Hilton and they offered excellent prices.
The check in did take some time as I arrived early but I was complimented with drinks for free. The hotel looks absolutely wonderful from the outside but inside looks even better. The room was good as I had a lot of space, with a nice bed, tv, mini bar, couch, safe, bathroom and much more. The room was in perfect condition but the view of the sea was magnificent. There was also a space outside my room where I could sit and look at the sea. I had air conditioning in my room as it is very hot out there. The service was great, every member of staff was very helpful and kind and would give them a 10 out of 10. I didn't find many shops in the hotel as there was only two, one was the money exchange and the other was a shop where you could buy accessories, sweets and newspapers, to get an English newspaper it will cost a lot.
The hotel is well known for swimming, I went to the back of the hotel and I just saw swimming pools everywhere. There was a huge swimming pool at the back of the hotel with a bar but further down was even bigger swimming pool. The swimming pools were always packed out and sometimes it was hard to get a seat nearby the pool. I spent a lot of time in the Jacuzzi which was located at the side of the hotel with another swimming pool. This hotel is perfeect for anyone, for families, couples etc.
I wasn't very happy with the beach as it was quite small. I did do snorkelling at this hotel and they give lessons to everyone. Behind the hotel is the sea and there is a long jetty which takes you out to the deeper water and this is where you can sit down for a while but I never went on windy days as the jetty was very unstable and you could fall over.
The hotel does have one Italian restaurant which was good but could improve. The breakfast is the best and enjoyed it a lot. I absolutely hated the dinner. Since I was in Egypt I expected to eat Egyptian food but I did not even see one Egyptian dish in the buffet. I just ate there once and never at there again as I just went out to the city centre which provided better food at way lower prices. The Mexican bar looked very good and I spent some time there only playing pool.
The hotel was absolutely packed out and I did notice that there were a lot of Russians. The hotel is located away from the city centre but the Hilton does arrange shuttle busses which go every hour. There is only one attraction down the road from the hotel with only a five minutes walk. The old market in Sharm el Sheikh is the best place to do shopping.
Overall I would definitely go back to this hotel resort and I would recommend it to anyone who just want peace and quiet. Remember that the hotel is located away from the noise of the city centre. The prices are amazingly cheap and I booked directly through the Hilton. The room rates are about Ģ40-50 a night.
