Hazyview was the first time holiday I had in South Africa ,a a visit to the Kruger park
I have been visiting South Africa since the seventies ,my second home in fact .
It is a fantastic place to be ,from Table Mountian to going on Safari to eating in good resturants .
I have had some fantastic experiences Ive walked with Elephants ,had been on many a Safari ,thebest one was at the Phinda Mountian lodge ,and we had an amazing ranger that took us ... ...an amazing feast in the bush you cant get better that that.
Sun City is also a great place if you like a flutter in the Casino ,we stayed at the Palace hotel as a gift from my family, a palace ! it is 5star 's and more.
Kimberly mines is another great place to visit the diamond mines.
Gold reef City a trip down the gold mine and a chance to see how the gold is pored.
I have so many memories that I have to stop and think about them.

...Within the grounds of Hippo Hollow is the local Shangaani tribe Camp, which offers you a chance to see the local 'tribe' entertaining, with folklore and dancing. The night begins with African Drums and fires and then you're greeted by the Chief himself and a tipple of the local beer. Food is included and again TC does his best to make you have a great time. You'll also get a chance to chat with a Sangoma or local medicine woman, but we missed this ... ...amazing.
All in all, Hippo Hollow is a great experience and if the Hippos don't come to see you, head out of the Hotel and up the road towards Hazyview...at the first junction turn right and drop down the hill. When you get to the Golf course, just ask nicely and they'll let you in and direct you to the lake, where around 20 hippos wallow. One last word of advise is for anyone taking Travellers cheques. The reception at Hippo Hollow doesn't change ...
