A trip to Munich is not complete without a visit to a beer hall and the best place to go is definitely the Hofbrauhaus or the Royal Brewery.
It is one of the best and the oldest beer hall in Munich. In November 1921, Hitler's storm troops first gained notoriety in what became known as the Battle of Hofbrauhaus. It is a must-go place for tourist and it's worth trying the tradiational beer there served in a one litre beer glass-another good photo opportunity.
They do all the typical beer in the area such as the weibier ( a light brew) and the dunkle( a dark sweet brew). Personally I like the weibier with a milder taste. The food there is not exceptional but the beer is excellent, kind of make up for it.Having dinner and beer is this busy beer hall, with the lively atmosphere, is a very good experience.
One litre of beer is a lot and after the dessert, I was completely full!! I had to drag myself back for an early rest for the next day!!
