Advantages: Big and breezy Disadvantages: Lack of seating in a big space, no smoking sections.
The Hog's Head on Woodlands road is a bit of a mystery to me. The drinks are expensive, despite the fact that much of the clientele must come from the two Universities within a five minute walk. The inside is somewhat cavernous, and must be very nice during the day for a lunch, but surely they could arrange things to squeeze more seating in? Having the bulk of the bar, except for a few tables along one wall, non-smoking is strange too - and awkward. ...

Advantages: It's a Beautiful Historc city! Disadvantages: No Night Clubs!
...to meet in, no music though, so good for a chat but not so good for dancing!
6/ The Royal Oak: This is smack bang in centre of the high street, this is a hog’shead chain, so good for reasonable food. This is the place to go for a quite mid week drink.
7/ The County Arms: Situated near West Downs Student Village, this is a big favourite with the students! With great food and cheap beer! It’s a very nice country pub, great place for a Sunday Roast.
8/ The Exchange: Recently refurbished due to a fire, great food and atmosphere. Situated at the top of the high street.
9/ The Black Boy: A quirky pub with lot’s of interesting décor. Situated at the bottom of town near the river, great to go for a chilled out drink.
10/ The Port House! This like the Guildhall is trying to be Winchesters equivalent of a nightclub! It is dark and dingy...

Advantages: Beautiful surroundings, great nightlife Disadvantages: traffic is a nightmare
...on one floor and cheesy music on another it tends to be frequented by the skateboarders and alternatives.
Along with the nightclubs Cheltenham has lots of pubs many are chains like Yates’s Wine Lodge, HogsHead, Witherspoons, O’Neills, Casa, Bar Med and The Toad these pubs have there own atmosphere, but there are many other smaller pubs that have there own different atmosphere and these are the ones to try when in Cheltenham, The ones I like are Tailors which one a sports night gets very full but is very friendly, The Frog & Fiddle is very much like a student union bar, The Dawn Run is on the opposite corner to Bar Med and is very Horse Racing orientated.
Places to eat include Petit Blanc owned by Raymond Blanc and The Daffodil are two of the towns best restaurants but along with these the town also have the fast food chains like Burger...

Advantages: in the process of redevelopment so it might be good one day...... Disadvantages: well its just so ugly!
...be there once. I can tell you from experience that they do check around there quite often- my boyfriend has had a ticket once when he was unloading some things for a UKIP rally my mum was doing around election time, so he wasn’t very much over. He also got one in the same car park when he had a ticket! So I think that you can say that they are parking fine mad in the pay and display car parks. Keep well away!
Anyway enough about car parks! The eating places in the town centre are as follows: MacDonald’s, Burger King, Morelli’s (Italian café), Chick Mex, Kebab Shop, Woolworth’s Restaurant, Littlewood’s café, The Littern Tree, The HogsHead, Chicago Rock Café, Indian Restaurant, and numerous little pubs scattered about the place. A little way out of the town centre, there is also a MacDonald’s drive-thru, which is good if you are passing through...
