...Baton Rouge The Baton Rouge is a relatively new nightspot in Liverpool, situated slap bang in the middle of the city centre. Placed Wood Street, it is on a row of ever increasingly popular bars. Nearby is the Crazy House and Howl at the Moon, the area is always busy and vibrant. The club itself has reasonably priced drinks, but there are not usually many promotions. The Baton Rouge is always packed to the rafters, and with a great dance floor, and an excellent DJ, it is not hard to see why. Maybe is one for the younger crowd though.... Read review

...I may have the same initials as Judith Chalmers but other than that we have very little in common. I am not a woman, for instance. I don’t have a rather eerie permanent orange tan. And I don’t get paid bucketloads of money to stay in the world’s premier hotels. Hence a few weeks back I found myself staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Liverpool rather than some luxury villa in Barbados. Oh well. LOCATION The hotel is in Liverpool’s Albert Dock, about 10 minutes walk from the main city centre. The hotel is housed in a Grade One listed warehouse, retaining some of the original features within such as huge red painted iron doors. Attractions like The Beatles Story, Tate Liverpool, Maritime Museum, The Liver Building and (last but not least) Fred’s weather map from “This Morning”... Read review

Advantages: Good music, clean toilets
Disadvantages: some times too busy

...The Baton is a busy bar on wood street. It has a great atmosphere with a good crowd of people to socialise with. The music is well known dance music that everyone will like. The toilets are clean and drinks are averagely priced, bouncers are friendly and there is a lot of room to dance! There is also a chill out area to rest those sore feet from dancin the night away! I go every week with a group of friends. We have a good laugh. On a friday the crowd is friendly and mostly a younger age and on a saturday the people are more up for it! and having a great time!...
