Hi, my name is Graham, I am married with a son. We are an active family based on the Isle of Man and we like weekends away to the UK and Europe. I like gadets and devices and like to keep up to date on all that is here and now.

The Holiday Inn Coquelles is located about 2 minutes from the EuroTunnel terminal. Also situated near the Cite Europe Shopping Centre and ideally located for the motorways and cross channel portsand just 3 minutes from the White Cliffs of Cap Blanc Nez and the sandy beaches of the Opale Coast.. It is a good based for touring the 1st and 2nd World War sites but is equally suited to a good start or end to your holiday.
The hotel is set in a peaceful park with a wooded areas. Its has private car park masked behind pleasant bushes, but only 200 m from the hotel entrance. The hotel is up on the hill over looking the coast to the north west and Coquelles its self.
All bedrooms are fitted with air conditioning and there are a choice of bed sizes. The TV has both english and french options, and there are pay per view films, although half of them are of the pornographic type. All rooms have marble ensuite bathrooms, showers over the baths, very large mirrors and plenty of towels. In some rooms you get a robe and slippers although one size doesn't fit all! Every room has a trouser press , adequate tea and coffee facilities and a internet access point. The wardrobe space is very large and extra blankets and pillows can be found in there.
The hotel offers free to all guests, a fitness centre with extended facilities, a small indoor swimming pool with multisex Sauna and Steam Room. There are french newspapers in the foyer.
There is one very large restaurant, very tastfully decorated and a seperate garden room annexe used for breakfast and lunch. The bar is based on the Irish Theme which seems to taken europe by storm. Although they offered a large range of beers there only seemed to be French draught beers available. Prices for alcohol were on the high side, but not anymore than you would expect for a holiday inn hotel. They did have a happy hour at tea time. The restaurant food was fantastic, and relatively cheap. A three course meal was about £19:00 but one bottle of house wine was £17:00 and a round of four beers was £12:00.
I managed to spend over £100 in extras whilst staying there for just one night. Yes I did have a good hangover!
Holiday Inn does supply customers with what they want at a price that can be termed as fair. This hotel has earned the right to be part of the Holiday Inn chain and I will stay there again when I visit France.
