We decided to stay over in Coventry and collect our Granddaughter and bring her back for a break near the sea side.

Breakfast was not included but there was an offer on £8 each so we decided to treat our selfs. It was at Breakfast that the hotel showed its true colours. Several staff members failed to come into work on the Sunday morning, and we were greeted at the dining room by the house keeping staff who were working hard to maintain services. The manager had been called in and the maid was waiting for him to arrive and take over so she could do her own job.
This lack of staff did not impact on the quality of the food or the service. The staff were excellent at doing diningroom duties.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, full English or continal. Cereal toast good quality yogurt. Plenty of tea and coffee brought to your table. Danish pasties by the plate full. Small glass pots of jam etc not these plastic pots.
We were so impressed by te service we are staying there Christmas Eve with our daughter and her family, and really looking forward the the break.
