Holiday Inn Garden Court Berlin - Kurfurstendam, Berlin

Advantages: central location, excellent beer, friendly staff, clean and modern
Disadvantages: no leisure facilities

...We stayed at for a week in December 2005, for a Christmas shopping break. We stayed in a double room, Bed and Breakfast. The hotel is in a central location a 5min walk to the nearest S-Bahn station which is Anhalter Bahnof Its walking distance to Potsdamer Platz where in the winter is a Christmas market with mulled wine, hot dogs, lots of craft stalls, shopping centre, the Sony centre and a snow slide (where you slide down a slope in an inflatable ring) We booked the hotel direct on the Holiday Inn website a week or so before hand - the member of staff I spoke to was very helpful. The hotel was clean and modern - it must has only been built in the last few years. reception staff were friendly and everyone spoke good English. The hotel has a bar some vending machines - but no leisure facilities. The room was not large... Read review

If one comes like me by intercity express train to Berlin, then, one could arrive under circumstances at the station zoological garden which on confessed very much sometimes and is itself a sight. The central station wider far stations are the east station, Berlin-Lichtenberg and on the area of the former Lehrter station soon although Berlin this one is still a construction site, as of 2006 but the great and modern the Berliner will be stations. Of all stations there are very good traffic connections with s and underground to the centre and to all urban areas which the hotel could possibly be. Of course one comes also by car to Berlin. One arrives from the west about the A2 from the south about the A9 or the A13 from the east about the A12 and from the north about the A11 or the A24. I would find... Read review

...My friend and I went to Berlin earlier on this month for a short break to get away from the bad Scottish weather. We were away for three days and four nights and were looking for somewhere cheap but comfortable to stay. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express City Centre West. Cost Cost is always my prime consideration when making any purchase so I was delighted with the price of £27 per person per night for a twin room at the Holiday Inn Express, especially given the poor Euro exchange rate for tourists. This was a special offer from one of the many websites that offers good deals on hotels. The special offer gave 25% off the standard price so the standard price would be £36 per night.
