The hotel is prominently visable on exiting the terminal building or before you enter. It is all of 2 minutes walk across the busy road outside the terminal (use the crossings please!)
The main entrance to the hotel is round the far side, unless if you have your own vehicle and you are parking in its own car park. Limited car parking spaces are available which are free to residents otherwise costs are in place for non-residents.
The hotel which was renovated this year has nine floors boasting 296 guest rooms, 2 suites, 3 single rooms, 172 rooms with double beds, 149 non-smoking rooms, executive suites and executive floors.

and also welcomes visitors. The main bar is open from 11am until 1am.

Dry Cleaning facilities are available also, use the bag located in the draw of your dressing table/desk in your room and hand to reception before 9am and a sameday service returns your dry cleaning back to your room after 18.30pm.
The rooms are not huge but offer just enough room to stretch your legs. Modern picture adorn the walls around the room with a tasteful decor.
As you enter a fitted wardrobe is to one side with provided hangers for your clothes and tea & coffee making facilities along with a mini-bar. Situated at the top are two extra pillows should you need them.
The mini bar is a small fridge with Pepsi, Water (still and Sparkling), Spirits, Orange Juice, Chocolate, Crisps and a selection of wines. These are charged to your room on removal of the item from the mini bar by a small device attached to it. Prices are located on a sheet next to it, but none were available when I was there.
A Pillow menu is available for various customers, such as allergy sufferers and more. A pillow menu is available from reception. Four are provided in the rooms these are standard pillows, two on the bed with a cushion and two on the fitted wardrobe.
The bed is comforatble and the quilt thickness was just right, it didnt have any cotton sheets, it has a proper quilt, and an addtional blanket if required.
Do not disturb and cleaning required signs are available to hang outside the door if you need to use them, do not disturb signs are great for sleeping in in the mornings.
Great big windows side the rooms which cannot be opened for safety reasons but additional double galzed windows inner to the outside ones can be used to keep the room at the correct temperature. Air conditioning units are provided in each room which are controlled by the device on the wall.
If you have infants or children then a baby-sitting service is available but you need to give the reception desk 48hrs notice, for infants cots are also available from housekeeping.
The room comes supplied with plenty of lighting, an information folder, TV, Telephone and internet connection.
The TV was not tuned very well and others with me experienced the same from their rooms. It has a Playstation handset connected to the tv to play playstation games, and a selection of movies not available to rent are provided on demand to your tv in your room. These are of course at an added extra cost. Your TV also gives you the service of checking your bill and itemised charges along with any messages left for you from reception. A clock in the corner of the tv unit is easily visible from its digital display.
Wake-up calls cannot be requested from reception as the tv has its own wake-up alarm which must be set, a red light will illuminate in the digital clock display when set.
The Tv has 28 channels:
1 - 12 are normal channels 1-5 along with Sky channels and the hotels information channel 13 - 15 are German, French and Spanish channels 16 - 20 are a range of radio channels 21 - 26 are adult channels and movie channels (pay per view) 27 - 28 Arabic / BBC News 24
The rooms also offer a trouser press although irons and ironing boards can be sent up from reception if needed. Hairdryers are located in the desk draw and an information perspex holder is next to the bed. This lists all the things to see and do in Glasgow and a Business guide.
A small table with a comfy chair is next to the bed by the window. Useful for relaxing and eating any room service that has been ordered. Both sides of the bed have bedside tables with small draws.
Their are two telephones in the rooms one by the bed and another on the main desk, the one on the desk has an internet connection point on the side of it for high speed connections. Outside lines are achiveved by pressing '9' and costs are high, maybe a good idea to use the payphones in reception. You cannot use the modem and phone at the same time as their is only one main line into the room. A red light will flash if you have a voice message.
The bathroom in the rooms are clean and tidy with white tiles. A little stand is located on the side with complimentary Bath/Shower gel, Body Lotion, Shampoo, Soap x 2, Shoe Shine and a sewing kit. Weighing scales are also provided
A hot towel rail is holding the towels and is controlled by a switch outside the bathroom door. A power shower is available and the hot water can reach high temperatures so be careful, another hand heldshower head is available which is connected to the tap and controlled by a small knob on top of the tap. I tryed it and the water came from not only the head but also the sides of the pipe casing, so I ditched that idea.
Room Service was ok, I couldnt get through to them and it kept ringing and ringing. Eventually I put the phone down and contacted reception who took my order and it was with me in 20 minutes. Only a selection of the menu is available 24hrs with a great range for vegetarians also. Ice machines are not located around the hotel, instead you have to order it from room service for free. Room service has a tray charge of £2 but it didnt say that if you was to order ice only if you would be charged this tray charge??
Here is an idea of the prices:
Steak £14.00 Omelette & Chips £8.50 Beef Stroganoff £12.00 Pizzas - £10.50 with a choice of two toppings, more charged at 50p each Nachoes £5.50 Soup £5.00 Sandwiches all above £5.50 Wines from £5.10 per glass and from £14.75 per bottle A Childrens menu is also available with meals from £4
It may be much cheaper to order a variety of side orders, it costs less. I ordered a bowl of chicken wings, Nachoes, Chips which came to around £10, this was more than enough for two people.
The hotel is ideal for business use, especially being across the road from the airport, it is also an ideal spot for holiday makers. The hotel has various contracts with loads of tour operators so it pays to look around, me, I stayed on business so I have no idea but I would expect to pay around £60 - £100 per room per night.
Being next to the airport it seems not to suffer from aircraft noise and constant traffic, maybe the windows are sound-proof, who knows but I had a good nights sleep with no distractions!
