This is a good quality hotel located right in the hustle and bustle of Kowloon. To get to the entrance you get a real feel of Hong Kong, fighting through the crowds and dodging the tailors trying to measure you up for that bargain suit and hawkers selling 'Rolexes' from their jackets. Next door is the notorious Chungking Mansions, worth poking your head in if you don't mind the possibility of losing it. I managed to see a huddle of drug pushers, ... ...immigrant resisting arrest before deciding it was a good time to leave. You certainly get the flavour of the city. From my room I could see umpteen lines of washing, an industrious clothes-making sweat shop in full operation, and cats wandering by at ridiculous heights. But the inside of the large hotel is pretty serene, clean and spacious, and the staff efficient and welcoming.
