This is pretty decent hotel but the location is not great. It is a 10-15 minute walk from Brentford train station - fine for young fit people not carrying any luggage. A taxi from the airport costs £20-£25.
Check in - polite and efficient service. All the paperwork for my stay was there on reception and they just needed my cerit card details and a couple of signatures and i was given my room key.
The Room - we were on the 3rd floor with a view of the main road. Although quite busy you couldn't hear anything. The room itself is typical of that of most holiday inns i have stayed. The bed was comfortable, there was a desk, iron and ironing board and i tv with standard channels and some satelite channels - mainly news.
The bar - decent range of drinks - the house white wine was pretty good and only £3.50 which i thought was fair considering it was a hotel bar in London.
Food - first night we ate at the bar. I had a margerita pizza. What can i say.... well it came it still frozen in the middle! I am not one to complain but on this occasion i let the staff know and they couldn't do enough for me. The pizza went back and came out 5-6 mins later piping hot. They also brought me another glass of wine free of charge as way of an apology. I'm easily pleased!!! There is another place to eat in the hotel - the main restuarant area where most meals are served buffet style. The food here was actually pretty good, although not sensational.
Gym - there is one here and i did put my head through the door but didn't use it. It seemed fairly well kitted out with Cardio kit etc.
Overall impressions - a fair hotel which would be good as a base for exploring - not one for those who love luxery though!
