BRILLIANT! We absolutely loved it. Booked 2 nights in the Executive double (USAking-size) I never thought I would be the type to come home and book again! The pictures on the web sites are bang on (not like other places!) Location-the best for the theme park/zoo/sealife (Halloween weeks was fun). Hotel really is right on the doorstep but there is no noise! Hotel/park is minutes walk from Chessington South train station that takes you straight to Waterloo and other places. Hotel has their own car park next to theme park. Cleanliness-top (I am aware it hasn't been open for that long). Immaculate. Service was fun, polite and they thought about what you would need before you thought of it! Room decor was brilliant, like a gallery. Ornaments and little touches everywhere. Quality tea and drinks in room, plus complimentary mineral waters every day. SKY TV (Nick for the children) with an option to upgrade the package and have internet access etc. Mattress was dreamy. Double shower with power, yay! Option to choose pillows (pillow menu). Restaurant was elegant and nicely lit. In fact everywhere was nicely lit, relaxing but able to read. Children welcome. A little fun arcade for the children too, I normally hate that sort of thing but this was discreet and quiet. Also had a bar menu that you could use in the restaurant too. Wine list was very good and they had ice cold Becks on draft, gorgeous after a long day. Bitters etc all available on draft and bottled. Nothing was any bother. Very helpful. Kids very welcome and they loved it. Food was the best we had had for a long time (try the Blackhouse Grill in Chester). We are very fussy and like the best so this place was a real breath of fresh air. Service etc is awful now-a-days. Pool was warm and sauna and steam rooms were well placed. Kids aged 8yrs up could go in too, my daughter loved that! Whirl pool too. We did not try the gym but it looked ideal for what one usually uses at a gym. Breakfast was buffet style with all you need, including us veggies. Check out was swift and hassle free. Polite staff wished you a pleasant journey etc. I want to put in some negatives but we found it hard to find any! Could not fault are stay which is odd because I usually can find a lot wrong with a place!! Definitely the WOW FACTOR. Friendly word of warning, do not go to the Beefeater near by, they were rude from the off, we left promptly!
