The point is that this is 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross station, and not much further from St Pancras. From Euston station, you could walk but I would advise a cab. ...stopped at the Kings cross Holiday Inn and was impressed so we choose to go there. Although its a little further away from oxford street and other sites, we knew what we were getting. Plus our friends live close by. It is set in a horid area!!! and only view from your hotel window is of the royal mail depot. The Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury is a beatifully presented and welcoming hotel. The decor is clean, modern and, to a degree, much more opulent in design than other holiday inns where I have stayed. The room itself was large with a king size bed and a very nice seating area (which I presume will change to a sleeping area if required. ...Close the curtains though and you could be anywhere in the world. The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and accommodating. They were very helpful and could not do enough for you. I found it very interesting to observe how 'international' the staff were. I was very aware of their excellent ability to communicate in various languages to foreign visitors.
