Have used this hotel twice. Both times been very impressed.
Within walking distance to everywhere in town, its situated perfectly for eating out in the evening and going for breakfast down on the promenade.
The hotel itself is a 20 second walk from brand name shops.

Have used this hotel twice. Both times been very impressed. Within walking distance to everywhere in town, its situated perfectly for eating out in the evening and going for breakfast down on the promenade. The hotel itself is a 20 second walk from brand name shops. It has a really sufficient restaurant for food and really good to sit outside for evening drinks in the Yucca Bar and Chez Panisse Restaurant.
They are all equiped with Air Conditioning, Electronic Safety Boxes, Satellite LCD TV, Video Games, High Speed Internet Access (WiFi in our Executive rooms , about 20 Euro for the day), Trouser Press, Minibar.
The breakfast in the hotel isnt that great, being a holiday inn - its pretty simplistic and expensive for what you get. It is an expensive place to eat, as are most hotels.
Eating out is great in Nice, flowing tapas, pizzerias etc everywhere you look in town.
Its only a 10 minute drive from Nice International Airport . I paid £120.00 for the night, not bad for an expensive town!
Advantages: Very cosy and in zone 2 Disadvantages: Not a very good surrounding area
pay £5 extra for this service. Breakfast was really good. The portion was so big it could easily feed 3 girls.
The camden lock was just next to the hotel. Very nice view from my room and the market was great. However, I didn't feel comfortable walking back to the hotel from the tube station at night. It's quite dodgy and the next time I stay there, I would probably take a taxi back to the hotel or walk back to the hotel with someone. Anyway, there are many policemen patrolling all day and it made me felt better.
If you want dinner in the hotel, try their fish and chips. My friend recommended that to me and it was really yummy. I didn't try anything else so I can't say much about other food.
I had a very nice stay in the hotel and was happy. I think it's a good choice if you want to stay outside zone 1 and yet very convenient ...
HolidayInn Express Salford Quays is situated in a very nice location on the waterfront, my room looked out over the renovated canals and docklands which was good.
We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was very helpful in giving us local information and directions. All the staff were helpful and friendly ( even when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room!)
The room was modern and very clean with plenty of coffee, cups , towels etc
Breakfast was as good - plenty of seating, nice dining room, and good length of hours on the Sunday morning in which to get it.
Location-wise, it's about 14 minutes on the Metrolink tram from Manchester Piccadilly station on the Eccles line, and from there about a 4-minute walk. Taxi from the city cost us £10 late on Saturday evening, as the Metrolink finishes at 12.30am.

Advantages: Clean, good shuttle bus service Disadvantages: Not much to do, just a pit stop for Disney Land
I stayed at this hotel in October 2007 and had a pleasant stay. The welcome area is clean and friendly, with a small bar and a shop near the check in desk. There's also a small toddlers indoor play area in this area. This is probably the nicest part of the complex, although it is pretty small. The corridors are quite dark and dull, but the rooms are decent and have traditional decor. I remember the beds being quite comfortable, which was nice after staying in an extremely uncomfortable HolidayInn bed the night before. The outside is decorated nicely, with plants and flowers and is kept very tidy. However, the eating area was a disappointment and was basically a cafeteria. The food was quite nice and you could keep going up for more, but there was no atmosphere and it felt like everyone had been shoved in there not because they wanted to ...
