Advantages: Close to everything, cheap for this town Disadvantages: Poor breakfast
...isnt that great, being a holiday inn - its pretty simplistic and expensive for what you get. It is an expensive place to eat, as are most hotels.
Eating out is great in Nice, flowing tapas, pizzerias etc everywhere you look in town.
Its only a 10 minute drive from Nice International Airport .
I paid £120.00 for the night, not bad for an expensive town!
Enjoy your stay ...

Advantages: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION Disadvantages: basic room, no feeling of security in hotel
...If you want a place to stay, that's cheap and in fishermans wharf then this is the place for you!
I went their with my 7 year old daughter at the time, we rolled up to the main reception of the holidayinn (nice building), but on getting our room keys we were told to cross the road to the Express building (carried mine and my daughters bags - no offers of help at all!)
On walking around the building, crossing the street and entering the other building you walk through a dennys (handy ) which is inside the reception area of sorts (The entrance is the same as dennys, however the walkway does allow you to go staright past the restaurant to the lifts) - I found this daunting as anyone can use dennys and walk staright to the lifts (all on the ground floor). On going up in the lifts - not at first obvious where to go as I had no instructions...

...HolidayInn Express Salford Quays is situated in a very nice location on the waterfront, my room looked out over the renovated canals and docklands which was good.
We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was very helpful in giving us local information and directions. All the staff were helpful and friendly ( even when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room!)
The room was modern and very clean with plenty of coffee, cups , towels etc
Breakfast was as good - plenty of seating, nice dining room, and good length of hours on the Sunday morning in which to get it.
Location-wise, it's about 14 minutes on the Metrolink tram from Manchester Piccadilly station on the Eccles line, and from there about a 4-minute walk. Taxi from the city cost us £10 late on Saturday evening, as the Metrolink finishes at 12.30am.
Overall I would...
