One of my favourite features in this hotel is the roof pool. These are common in most Singapore hotels, but this one is a huge, overflowing marble affair, with ... ...lit for night swimming, when the temperature is perfect. There is a large jacuzzi next to the pool and a sauna and fitness centre inside.
Singapore breakfasts are great, because they involve dishes from so many cultures, but I haven't found many other hotels that focus on Indian food, as well as the usual English and Chinese. Advantages: Location, breakfast, pool Disadvantages: Poor views
Stayed here in March 08 and April 06. The hotel is in a good position just off Orchard Road. However, don't expect any great views as it has buildings on three sides and a freeway on the other. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a good selection of toiletries including razor and toothbrush. There was a safe in the room and fridge. Ice is available on a couple of floors.
The rooms are well furnished. The bar adjacent to reception is good and ... ...time for with a really extensive selection, although the coffee was not the greatest.
Can recommend the Indian restaurant in the basement for a good meal. The roof pool is very good with excellent changing facilities. Unfortunately it poured with rain the time we visited it last!
The hotel is convenient for public transport, but taxis are really cheap.
