Holiday Inn Reading-South, Reading

We stayed here for a week in August. Check-in was very quick and the staff had put a cot in our room for our little one which was great. The rooms are a good size and are of a nice finish, fresh and quiet. The bed is a good size and the bathroom was nice and very clean - as was the room.

The pool is ace. It's warm and our little one enjoyed a swim because there is a cordoned off lane. The gym provides everything needed for a good workout.

I was worried that the hotel would be full of football fans because it's close to the stadium and it was Reading's first ever game in the premiership. But there were no problems at all and you would have hardly noticed that a game was on at all. Additional staff were put on to deal with issues like parking - we were kept a space and very few away fans came into the hotel after the game (I think they were guests anyway!). It was very quiet in the night which was ideal.

The hotel has special offers for Legoland and there is a Lego sponsored play area in the lounge which is a very good idea. The staff at the hotel are first class. Really friendly, helpful and the hotel is family friendly. They were happy to warm our milk and baby food for our little one which was really kind of them. I would highly recommend this hotel and will go back again.
