The room was good and despite facing the main road there was no problem with noise, etc.. It was a good size, clean and tidy with a nice ensuite, tea/coffee facilities. ... Read review

Advantages: Reasonably inexpensive (prices differ between hotels) Disadvantages: No frills
...secured a room at the Holiday Inn and made our way over to find that there was no parking available - we had to leave our car in a nearby multi-storey which didn't prove cheap for over 24 hrs. There was some free parking around the hotel but with a maximum stay of 2 hours between 08:00 and 18:00, you had to time it well to take advantage !
The hotel was clean but fairly basic. Unlike some other 'cheaper' hotels, there was a restaurant and a full ... ...Other point about the Holiday Inn are:
Lots of leaflets for things to do in the surrounding areas available
Small shop in reception supplying those essentials such as drinks, toothpaste and paracetamol !
Friendly staff
Fast checkout service
Security was also very high - not sure if this is good or bad (ie: does it say something about the area ?) - you needed to swipe your room key to get into the hotel itself and then again to use the lift which ...

Advantages: Good Value, Clean & Good Food Disadvantages: Not enough Breakfast Tables
After looking through many internet sites to find a cheap and clean hotel for a friends hen party i came across Express by HolidayInn Malton Road York. The recently Built 49 Bedroomed hotel has handicapped Rooms, facilities for meetings and also banquet facilities. There are also non smoking rooms available. Twin, double, family and accessible roms are available in the hotel.
It is based just two & a half miles from the city centre, where you can see all the local attractions York Dungeons, Jorvik Centre, Castle Museum, National Railway museumand of courseYork Minster. It also only an hours drive away from the seaside towns of Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby. Shoppers are well catered for as there is the Monks Cross Shopping Centre a mile away but the city centre also has many shops to browse around.
Included in the price ...

The HI Group is itself part of a larger Group, Bass Hotels, which also includes the brands Inter-Continental and Forum Hotels.
I have myself stayed at five of the HI Group's hotels, and have spend a total of around 25 nights there:

~ HolidayInn Hotel, Warsaw
~ HolidayInn Hotel, Paris CDG Airport
~ HolidayInn Hotel, Istanbul
~ HolidayInn Crown Plaza, Istanbul
In order to stay within the right category, I will only discuss my experiences with the classic HolidayInn Hotels - and there the picture is very doom.
At first sight, HIs often appear to be the cheapest international business hotels in the city, boasting themselves with five big stars. There is ...

There are often times when you have to book an overnight stay, either for business or pleasure, well in my opinion you can do no better than try the new HolidayInn Express hotels.
With competition fierce in the medium class, motel style accommodation, names like Travelodge, Travel Inn etc immediately spring to mind. A year or so ago saw HolidayInn – better known for their more upmarket hotels - enter the fray with their ‘Express’ range. These hotels are now springing up all over, often attached to or included in, a ‘fringe of town/city’ entertainment, shopping park. Certainly the first one that I stayed in, last year, fitted the bill.
Situated on the outskirts of Rotherham, South Yorks, the HOLIDAYINN EXPRESS 'ROTHERHAM' is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting any of the attractions in ...
