I picked this magazine up at Morrisons supermarket where the free car mags are. Its hard to believe this issue is free! The retail price of £2.75 is crossed out. 404 pages, A4, full gloss colour all the way through, pictures on every page - non of those naff extremly poor paper bits you find in other free mags. This is a holiday magazine and it shows. Its oozing feel good factor. The front colour cover picture is very attractive, a superb holiday location. The text on the front is informative and refers to editorials inside the mag. It opens with a welcome address from the editor, a brief overview of the mags contents', the contents page, and the villa finder, then some news items. Everything is positive, positive. James Villa Holidays

Advantages: Great properties, unique experiences, wonderful holidays.
Disadvantages: None - although might not be suitable for all travelers

Over the past 3 years we have used James Villa Holidays six times. Our initial experience was in Gale, Algarve; we went on to stay in La Font, Pollença, Mallorca three times; and more recently have stayed at La Boheme in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and Forteza in Kalami, Crete. Our first taste of James Villas was in a 2 bedroom apartment in Gale, Algarve. The apartment itself was spacious and well maintained, with a large patio, fully equipped kitchen and TV/Satellite unit in the comfortable living room. Although the choice of English-language channels was limited, one doesn?t generally go on holiday to sit in front of the idiot box, and as we understand a modicum of German, the German MTV channel was most entertaining. Review of James Villas

Langkawi life

Advantages: Natural beauty, wildlife, sun, sea, food, culture, relaxing, little traffic, souvenirs
Disadvantages: Humidity, monsoon rain in wrong season, mosquitoes

Langkawi is a small island one hour plane direct to the International airport from Kuala Lumpur. You can fly direct from the UK if you wish with Malaysia airlines, but from KL you can get cheap flights using Air Asia (the equivalent to Easijet). You walk from the plane to the modern terminal in Langkawi and from here you are easily accessible to all parts of the island. The main town Kuah is approx 45 minutes drive. Here you will find the town divided into different shopping areas. The ferry terminal with direct access to Thailand and the mainland has a huge eagle statue and modern shopping areas. Revamped approx 3 years ago it is a bussling area for locals and tourists.
