If you are looking for a touring caravan park on which to spend your holidays then I could not recommend Holly Bank. If however you want a site for a short stay either to visit a local attraction or as a stop-over between Scotland and South England then it would probably suffice. As it is only about 1 ½ miles from the M^ Junction 21 on the Irlam side it is very handy.
The site is reasonably cheap but there are few facilities on site. There are free showers which again are adequate by modern camp-site standards and all the facilities for emptying the loo or basic laundry. Gas is available but there is no children’s playground or leisure facilities worth mentioning. The shop is very basic and if you want anything fresh you have to order it the day before.
On the whole the site is best described as adequate, generally clean and tidy with helpful owners. If you want on-site facilities though forget it.
