They have things like a salad buffet, main course dishes and then for desert most of the restaurants have an ice cream bar where there are various different flavours of ice cream and a number of different sauces and toppings you can put on the ice crea. The beach is beautiful, with a good golf course adjacent to that. The town has an exceptionally good Indian restuarant on the main street - does a fantastic buffet!! There are good B&B's on the town's Saltoun Place - very good value for money here. I found that it was also a good "home base" for other things to see in the area, such as the nearby small old fishing villages of Sandhaven and Rosehearty.
If you are travelling North and doing the coastal trail, don't bypass - try dropping in....
