shopping and entertainment districts. Opposite Victoria Park and close to an MTR station. The hotel is traditionally European in style, with ornateBaroque furnishings and luxurious fabrics the type of place where a British afternoon tea is done very well. The hotel has a number of gourmet dining options, a Roman style roof top pool terrace and a fully equipped health clubeverything you need to relax after a hectic days shopping! Guest rooms are a good size and in keeping with the style of the rest of the hotel.
Advantages: Exciting, vibrant, loads to do, islands to visit, tons of shopping Disadvantages: Often smoggy, baking hot and lots of rain in the summer!

- Langham Place Hotel. If you're looking for a top-quality hotel that won't break the bank then do consider staying at this stunning hotel. We loved the exciting, vibrant Mong Kok location. It's cheaper than other 5 star properties simply because it's away from ... ...great time to go to Hong Kong. We had 11 days and not a drop of rain! It was t-shirt and shorts each day, although we tended to change into long sleeved shirt/top and long trousers in the evening.
- If you're thinking of visiting any of the outlying islands (we visited Lantau, Lamma, Cheung Chau and Ma Wan) ask at the Tourist Board Office at the Star Ferry (TST side) for a book called 'Discover Hong Kong Nature'. It's a lovely A5 sized book, with ...

Advantages: Clean, friendly people, fantastic shopping Disadvantages: the humidity
...being given a trip to Hong Kong by my boss. He paid for myself, my husband and 12 year old daughter to visit for a week.
The company I work for has dealings with the Far East and so it was a "little business and lots of play trip"!
I have heard my boss and other work collegues talk of Hong Kong before but believe me until you can experience it for yourself you cannot really appreciate it. The people are very friendly and the streets seemed to be ... ...from our room looking over Hong Kong harbour was spectacular, especially at night. We were totally amazed that you could walk through the hotel and end up in a shopping mall!. Shopping mall!...... it was huge. As many shops as there are in our town centre I'm sure! There are so many different restaurants you are bound to find something you like if you are not so keen on Chinese food. Macd's are in abundance! Italian restaurants, English, Thai you ...

Advantages: A unique city, always bustling with life Disadvantages: Severely overcrowded and polluted.
I am actually born and bred in UK, but am Chinese and family are originally from HK. I have been back twice so far and will be going back again this summer. To get the wrong idea, I hate the place! Well, it is supposed to be my home country (or city now) and it's my kind of people back there, but it is so undeniable that the place is extremely polluted, people are rude, and most probably the atmosphere is just not what I'm used to.
I have thought ... ...graduation, but this has almost vanished completely. The atmosphere as you may guess with HK being one of the most prosperous financial cities and service sector, the competition of work and attitudes back there are immense. You can grab anyone on the street, and almost every housewife would be heavily invested in shares believe it or not.
Generally the people are very ill mannered as compared to England, and as the place is so severely overcrowded, ...

I visited Hong Kong for the first time last September, and, finances permitting, I will definitely be back. I have to admit that it was not anywhere that I ever wanted to visit. I thought it would be strange and uncomfortable to visit somewhere that had a culture and climate so different to what I was used to. I could not have been more wrong!
My first impression of Hong Kong was the humidity. Even in late September, it was warm and quite sticky, ... ...service between most areas of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The Octopus card is also valid on most bus services. I don't remember the exact price but I know it was very reasonable to travel between stations. Taxis are everywhere, and very cheap to hire, although not all the drivers speak English. It is useful to have a card with your destination written in Cantonese so that you do not get lost. The Star Ferry, which goes between HK Island and Kowloon, ...

Advantages: different, safe city, variety of things to do Disadvantages: when it rains, it really does rain!!
*~* I went to Hong Kong last summer for 3 weeks. I stayed with some friends of the family, and i have to say, its one of the best holidays I've ever been on.
Though slightly daunting at first, i soon settled in to the Hong Kong way of life. Hong Kong is divided up into four main areas - Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, the New Territories and the Outlying Islands. My friends live in the New Terriories, and this gave me a chance to discover the real Hong ... ...live.
The flight to Hong Kong was long. 14 hours to be exact. I flew non-stop to Hong Kong international airport with British Airways. Be prepared for jet lag - the time difference is GMT + 8 hours. I visited Hong Kong in the month of July...it was boiling! very very humid, tempretures reached 30C+. Also, it was quite rainy. It really pours down, and then is brilliant sunshine afterwards. I dont mind the heat, but its generally agreed that the best ...

March of the minis was a pretty quite release, there was no mass histeria or advertising campains which we've come to expect from games in the mario series, and the fact of the matter is, its a good little game, but its just not "MARIO" good.
