I have experienced the hooves guided beach trail twice now, and can honestly say that this and the dolphin cove were the best two experiences (other than my wedding:) that I have had in Jamaica.

The staff are incredibly friendly, laid back and always ready to have a laugh. They are fantastic teachers who will educate you on your tour about their beautiful island and all it has to offer as well as making sure that you are comfortable and safe on your horse.

If you appear nervous or are a first time rider, you can be led along the trail or have one of the hooves staff ride along side you.

As you make your way down to the beach, you will learn about your horse,the trees and plants that you pass along the way as well as facts about the country.
This all adds up to a fun ride, making any nerves you may have once had disappear and bringing the riders together.

Once at the beach you are offered a sample of coconut milk , and once you are in your swim wear or whatever you wish to wear in the water -it's on to your horse again for a truly unforgettable experience.

You will begin by riding slowly along the front of the sea, your horse will then enter the sea, which will reach your waist.
The horses then have cool swim and gallop along in the water (it is a slow pace, but totally fantastic!).
The freedom you will feel from this gallop is wonderful, the sun shining down on the sea -perfect.

After a photo opportunity and about twenty minutes in the sea, the horse are led out, and you have time to change before take an awesome trip back along the sea front, with the waves lapping at the hooves of the horses, this is like something from a film!

The gentle trot back, as there, is filled with laughter, knowledge and the desire to return as soon as possible!

On the way back you will be feeling confident and very pleased that you took the chance to experience the wonder of Hooves horseback riding beach trail.
