Hotel Hospes Palau De La Mar Hotel Hospes Palau De La Mar
Hospes Palau de la Mar seduces due to its capacity to transmit the values of the city ... more
itself, of its people and its history...These are
its origins and the truly authentic atmosphere to
be experienced by the guests of Hospes. A refuge
for the five senses.  Hospes Hotels and Moments
are located in singular buildings and privileged
sites, old convents, royal residences and mansions
that radiate originality. The subtlety of a
service based on excellence, the cult of detail
and a precisely balanced combination of
functionality and exclusivity that will take you
to a time-space in which it is possible to enjoy
just being yourself. Open to the world,
cosmopolitan, with a pronounced yet sensitive
character; beyond the architecture of its two
singular buildings, based on an old Palacete from
the late 19th century.

wonderful Valencia
Review of Valencia (Spain) by  lailaloo

Advantages: lovely city must visit
Disadvantages: very very busy roads

...Valencia city is only a few minutes from the airport,it is very nice and has a great tube system where for 10.80 you can buy a ticket that could in effect take you on 10 single journeys all around Valencia, there is a great indoor market some great churches and a really great beach which you can get to buy tram. The resturants are also very good value and great food. If you have a car within no time atall you can be in some very nice typical spanish villages such as Lliria which is about 25 km away, Valencia also has Europes largest aquiriam which is spectacular well worth a visit. Valencia also has a great festival called La Fallas fireworks flames noise great fun a real must see event.... Read review

El Miguelete
Review of Miguelete by  cagon

Advantages: Fantastic view
Disadvantages: No lift to the top

...I am from Valencia myself and I would definitely recommend going up the Miguelete. Although there are other points from which to get a panoramic view, e.g. the Torres de Serranos, el Miguelet is right in the historic centre of the city and there's no high buildings obstructing the view from it. The Miguelete is basically a bell tower of Gothic style, dated 1381, attached to the Catedral de Valencia, in the old historic town of the city, within the boundaries of El Carmen neighbourhood. The entrance to El Miguelete is inside the cathedral and you will need to pay a very small fee (not even £1) to ascend its 207 spiralling steps, about 50 metres of height. This is a good way of testing your fitness. You will probably get to the top struggling for breath and then realise it was worth it when you see the whole of Valencia extended... Read review

Valencia and Lladro factory
Review of Valencia (Spain) by  tintme

Advantages: Beautiful architecture, many shops and restaurants, history abounds but modern too
Disadvantages: can't really think of any-drivers beware!

.... Sightseeing- Well this is proably why most people visit. The history of the old town is fascinating and architcture is amazing. An absolute must see is the Caterdral Miguelete. Pay for the audio tour which explains the history of each part of the cathedral and finally climb the tower for amazing views over the city. Be warned however the steps are very steep and tiring and there is not much room to pass. The Plaza De La Virgen is beautiful, particularly at nght. Wonderful fountain and a webcam so those at home can see you, check it out on the Valencia website before you travel. The square is surrounded by bars and all the locals congregae here on Sunday evening, the place is buzzing and so relaxing. (We found Monday and Tuesday evenings very quiet) Valencia is not all old town however. The river has been re-routed and the old river bed is now... Read review
