Advantages: everything and anything Disadvantages: flight is too long from Manchester
...NewYork, NewYork, there are movies, songs, books named after this city of dreams. It has everything and anything. I went last fall with my family and it was the best week I have ever had in my life, I stayed in the Waldorf Astoria which is one of the most beautiful and elegant hotels you could ever stay in! Dont let people say that " the Plaza is the best hotel in New York becuse it's not its the Waldorf for sure. There is so much to do in New Yorkand the whole place is like one giantfilm set, you have Time Square where I say Fight Club because it is an R and if you are with your parents you can see it your under 17 and I was 14 but in Scotland i'd have to be 18 with or without parental consent, Empire State buliding which was breath taking from the top, statue of libirty which I never got over to see as the que was far to long...

...Although the hotel is situated in one of the best locations in New YorkCity (it is a couple of blocks away from the centre of Times Square), it lacks a little quality. The restaurant facilities are not up to much, especially breakfast-wise and the rooms are nothing special. Advantages: Cheap and right on Times Square Disadvantages: A bit on the shabby side
...Hotel Carter is often referred to as a hostel but I wouldn't go that far. Although it's not exactly New York luxury the room was en-suite and was clean and a good size, if a little dated (the carpet on the wall is somewhat different!). The Hotel didn't have a restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. If you are just after a cheap weekend in the Big Apple you can't get a much more central location than this Hotel which is just off Times Square and for the money compared to other NY hotels I think it is great value. Especially since you'll probably spend very little time in hotel room with the rest of New York to explore!...

The New Yorker is in an excellent midtown location with the subway (lines A, C & E) literally steps outside. Being on the corner of 8th Avenue and 34th Street this meant good access to Macy's, Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens and the... more
If you want to stay in Central New York then this is the hotel to book. It is actually IN Times Square! It's a huge modern hotel with over 45 floors so some of the views are great. There is a bar at the top which is a lovely place to have a drink,... more
Postmodernism, eh? It's a funny old bag of fish. Even the holier-than-thou critics don't quite seem to know what it's all about. They argue whether it's
a) a revolt against modernism,
b) a progression of modernism,
c) both of these and more
or d) more
