2 STAR HOTEL THAT SHOULD BE FAR MORE

Advantages: Excellent value for money and extremely clean and tidy
Disadvantages: Slightly to far to be able to walk to city centre

season, it looked like nearly all of the hotels were full and in the ones that had vacancies, the hotel rooms were very expensive. Luckily, one of the hotels recommended the Hotel Santa Lucia on the outskirts of the city. At first, we thought it would not be good as we didn?t really want to stay on the outskirts as we would have preferred one in the centre so that we could visit all the attractions on foot without having to rely on the car, but as we could not find anything central, we decided to go to the Hotel Santa Lucia. * THE HOTEL SANTA LUCIA * LOCATION * The hotel itself is found on the Santiago ? Orense road, very close to another major road ? the A9 La Coruna ? Vigo. It is approximately 13 km from Santiago de Compostela Airport (roughly a 15 minute drive). * In reality, although it is situated on the outskirts ...

santa luzia de tavira algarve

Advantages: heaven on earth
Disadvantages: none

I have been visiting Santa Luzia for more than 5 years now and enjoy the village so much that in august of 2006 i purchased a small house in rua Joao antonio chagas ferriera. It is opposite the best little seafood restaurant in the algarve "Alcatruz". The fish in this place is so fresh it is still wriggling and the algarvean speciality of seafood and rice "arroz marisco" is unsurpassed in even the swankiest of restaurants. The new promenade is half comleted (june 2007) and is due to be finished in the coming winter. Everything you need can be found in the many little local shops and cafe de ville in the church square provides daily fresh baked bread. You will not find english breakfast, beer or even cigarettes in the village though you can obtain english newspapers from about 11am onwards at the kiosk on the front in season and from ...

Visit Santa Luzia with me

Advantages: quiet fishing village
Disadvantages: ?

, and wader's. The Ria Formosa is a recognised UN nature reserve, it stretches from west of Faro to the Ilha de Tavira in the east. Walking along the beach we saw many ships out at sea. The beach would I think be a haven for children so much clean sand to dig wide expanses of sand to play ball on . Topless and I think even nude bathing is allowed on this beach but at Easter it was a little chilly for this activity. When we got back near the little train station we stopped for a drink at the restaurant there are toilets there and first aid facilities before we walked back to the town. Along the water front there are a few restaurants we looked at these to spot ones that took our fancy for an evening meal. All the restaurants /café's bars seemed to not be serving English breakfasts, there were no high rise apartments and hotels all were low ...
