Advantages: Lovely bathroom, Comfortable bed, Great Value for Money, Good Central Location Disadvantages: Breakfast slightly disappointing, No bar
...I stayed in a twin room at this hotel in March 2005.
Each room in the hotel is named after an opera and there is a photograph of the opera being performed in each room which I think is a nice touch.
The room was quite small but had everything we needed including a safe to keep our valubles in, a television (with some sky channels and BBC News 24) and a well-stocked, reasonably priced minibar. We had a lovely view of Berlin out of the window which was particulary nice at night when all the lights were on.
The bed was probably the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I can not even begin to describe how lovely it was!
The en-suite bathroom was really stunning. It had a deep bath and a wonderfully powerful shower and it was beautifully decorated. It was cleaned daily by hotel staff and it really was a pleasure to use. The towels...

The Zeil:
Its the shopping mile of Frankfurt, a few big center are there to buy...

Advantages: Cheap, Quiet, Lots to See Disadvantages: Shops not open on Sunday
...Last weekend we went to Berlin for a wedding. Got a good deal with www.expedia.co.uk: £700 for 2 from Aberdeen with 2 nights in the Kempinski, one of the best hotels in town.
At the airport we bought the Berlin DK Eyewitness Travel Guide which served us well. Flights were with BA and were all on time. Biggest surprise was to see Richard Branson on the first seat in the plane (business class). He was already seated when we boarded and ahead of us were a couple of guys who must have been on a stag weekend since they were quite loud and one of them did not feel too well probably from too much drink. Anyway as these chaps boarded the plane and saw Branson they asked him straight away why he did not take his own plane to Berlin , etc. Branson took it all with a big smile but I was surprised that he did not wait until the last moment...
