My parents started going to Calellade Palafrugell on the Costa Brava before I was born. It was the location of choice for our family holidays for many many years, and I have just got back from a holiday there on the 18th of September.
On the 4th September, my mother, father and I set off for Stansted airport to get our plane to Girona. Ryanair fly to this airport, and the flights are really cheap so this was perfect for us. We picked up our car at the airport and set off in the direction of Calella. No map was needed, that's how many times we've been there. Forty mintues later as we approached Palafrugell I started to get excited and was longing that we could get there quicker. We stopped off, got some shopping and headed onwards to Finques Port Calella (the estate agents) to get our apartment keys.

Went here with my wife,July,2009.Very surprised at reviews I've read elsewhere.These made me think again about my standards and I....No grounds for self doubt,however.(I'm a retired schoolmaster,and we live very decently from all points of view)To continue;the tour operator "Ferris" picked the resort/hotel on one of their saver offers.It was a coach holiday,and we were picked up close to home.We had a full four days/nights in resort,All inclusive.(£185 each including a supplement for one of their "Platinum" coaches.(Greater legroom,etc)).We had no problem at all .It was a good break....Our room had a large terrace(Room 10)and it was only a short walk and down five steps to be at the bar,so after a stroll following evening meal,we usually sat on this terrace for a few drinks before turning in.It was usually quiet ,but I do accept that ...

,games rooms with pooltables,airhockey,basketball kiddies rides and an array of amusments.to the left is a foodstore supplied with everything you need if you opt for the selfcattering option.
Turning to your right leads you along the road to several other bars, cafe and shops, most notabley Pappa's Bar, a very friendly bar which is a good allround family entertaining pub etc,prize bingo,quizzes, fun games a good time to be had by all.
