Hanover International Hotels Catchy name or what

Advantages: Ease of use, good offers
Disadvantages: Inconsistent

The Hanover International Hotel chain only have hotels in the UK (well actually having checked the locations it is only England and Wales). They have 14 Hotels in Skipton, Huddersfield, Scunthorpe, Ashbourne, Hinckley, Daventry, Dunstable, Harpenden, Cardiff Bay, Bromsgrove, Reading, Basingstoke, Chewton(Bristol) and Eynsham (Oxford). The hotels are all 3 or 4 stars and 'most' of the ones I have visited are very good. All have good facilities such as pools, saunus, gyms, and most offer good business facilities as well. The standards of hotel and service vary quite a lot across the hotel chain so it pays to check out each hotel prior to any visit. For example, the Hinckley hotel is a very large modern and impersonal hotel. The staff are reasonable, the restaurant is passable and the facilities are excellent. Compare this ...

Review of Hanover International Hotel, Skipton

Excellent Hotel

Advantages: Clean, friendly, low cost for what you get
Disadvantages: Bit far out of town

Although it's been a while since i last visited this hotel, I have to say it was amazing. Definitely one of the best hotels that I have ever been to. Granted it is more for the business traveller due to it's location but all the same it's very smart. ***LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION LINKS*** The location is really the only downside to such a superb hotel. Located in the South East of the city, the hotel is about 8 km from the city centre and almost 25km from the airport. It is within walking distance (infact a bridge connects it) to EXPO trade grounds and is next to the TUI arena. So really the hotel is more for business travellers rather than tourists and this is where the hotel has decidedly aimed the hotel at. Despite this, the hotel is still easily accessible. It is positioned within walking distance to the MESSE OST tram stop which ...

Review of Radisson SAS Hotel, Hanover

Weil am Rhein Akzert Maximilian Hotel

Advantages: Great value for a spacious clean room including breakfast
Disadvantages: The multi-complex is an architectural design disaster

The hotel is on the top 3 floors of a multi-complex. Nothing luxurious but good value for a clean spacious room, breakfast included with 3 drinks from the minibar. The entrance to the hotel is not obvious - look for the glass door next to the house-number and mailboxes - on the door it says in black letters "Hotel Rezeption". Enter and take the elevator to the 6th floor for the hotel reception. The hotel is an architectural / design disaster but if you follow the signs you'll make it to the reception and your room. Corridors and staircases are dimly lit until you press on one of the light switches with a small orange lamp on it. A day pass for all public transport for one zone (for the Tri-zone) costs EUR 6 per person. If you stay in Maximilian Hotel, take Bus 16 on Hauptstrasse to Rathaus (about 5 min) and change to Bus 55 to Basel ...
