I dont mean to be putting this hotel down and i am definaltly NOT calling this hotel cheer in a bad way....im here to say that this holiday i went and the hotel i sayed which was ''Hotel America I, Manacor'' was one of the best holidays i have ever bin on! Me and the rest of my family wanted to try somthing different in stead of going on a holiday somewhere in france, which is what we usally do. So a close family friend advised us to go to majorca as it is extreally family friendly and there is soooo much to do. So we went into the travel agents the next day a picked up a few brochers. On almost all of the brochers, it advised us to stay at this hotel as it was explaned as ''Cheep and cheer full'' We didnt look at it at a first glance as we thought it would be too cheep and wouldnt be nice. But we looked into the hotel and we ended up booking a 2 week self catering holiday at this hotel.
The day came 12th July and we were off. Three hours on the plane, no trouble easly there. We stood and waited for about 15mins for a taxi to go as we were in a queue because lots of people obiviouly liked and had heard about Majorca.
When we got to the hotel the taxi driver wished us a ''Happy Holiday'' and he wheeled out suitcases into the hotel reseption. The man at the desk looked really tired to be honest he either must have had a very tired day or very bored! But still he welcomed us with a cheerful smile and shown us to our room. A large living area, small but livable kitchen space, two rooms one with double bed and another with two single beds. We was very tired!! We jus had time to get a drink from the bar below and we watched a few minuets of the entertainment...be we really wasnt in the mood to watch it as it was 12.30am and we just wanted out beds!!!
Next morning was so lovely, it was like waking up on the hottest summers day of britain and not really having to lift a finger. I really was uite thirsty so my mum said..''Your on holiday so just phone up room service and get them to bring you one up''...This was great as id never had room service before!! We went out during the morning having a look around the hotel at all the facilities on the site. We had to go a watch one of those welcome meetings which are always a pain because you always want to just get into the pool and start exploring the grounds! The welcome meeting lasted about 30mins and was very useful to use. All the hotel staff were extreamly helpful and shown us around if we ever got lost! On the first day we went looking at the shops which were down the road and then we had a couple of hours around the pool just soaking up the sun.
First few days were amazing...All the food was really cheep and so were the drinks. There was a small bar on site which served all types of drinks and small pool side snacks as this wasnt a all inclusive holiday. The food was lively and as i keep saying it was really cheep. I bought a bag a chips which cost me 1 euro = 65p. So i cant really moan at that! I was happy, and so was the rest of my family, a lovely but fairly busy hotel with great view of all the local cove beachs.
Then it was time to go home after 2 weeks of non-stop pleasure. I really enjoyed this holiday and was gutted that i had to go. We got to know the local people quiet well as they were all very very friendly and they waved us of as we got drove off up the road back to the airport to go home.
That holiday was one of the best i had ever been on. And i think i enjoyed it more because i knew all was cheep. You just enjoy your self more when you know you are getting more for less.
Thankyou x
