Advantages: Crisp and Dry, A bit of a change Disadvantages: Relatively Expensive
I?m hardly what you would call adventurous, but when it comes to beers I think that I owe it to the nations of the world to sample the best they have to offer! On my mission for global unity through booze I have often grabbed a product I have never heard of or tried before from my supermarket shelf, taken it home and gulped it down.
It was on one such outreach programme that I came across Asahi (Pronounced ?Ah-Sah-Hee?), apparently Japan?s number one premium beer.
>>> History and blurb
Asahi Super Dry was first launched in Japan in 1987 and was apparently the first ?KARAKUCHI? (dry) beer in the market. Since then Asahi has been rolled out globally reaching the UK in 1996 and then the rest of Europe by 1999. Currently Asahi is available in at least 50 countries.
Other than that I like to drink it, I don?t have much ...

Advantages: So close that you can almost feel the breeze as the planes come in to land Disadvantages: It's more expensive than the more distant airport hotels
When is an airport hotel not really an airport hotel?
I have spent a stupid amount of time in airport hotels in the past year and have learned that the term 'airport hotel' can be very misleading. Some, like the Sheraton Dusseldorf Airport really are right at the airport whilst many can be a 10-15 minute cab ride away. As for shuttle busses that take you almost an hour to get from the hotel to the airport, there are far too many of those knocking about. My advice - for what it's worth - is to make sure you know exactly what you are getting when you book an airport hotel. A good price can be spoiled by discovering that the shuttle bus only goes once an hour and a taxi can cost you half the room rate just to get there. The Sheraton at Dusseldorf airport is exactly the best kind of airport hotel

Advantages: The best World Cup lager for me! Great clean taste. Disadvantages: Limited availability
Appropriately for the World Cup we are currently enjoying/enduring (delete as appropriate) I have noted that one of my favourite lagers is on special offer in the various supermarkets we frequent. Of course this lager is Japan?s Asahi ? which is pronounced ?ass-are-hee? I know this because my girlfriend was promptly corrected by some Japanese colleagues on its pronuciation when she visited the country last year.
I have enjoyed bottled Asahi for a few years now. I am not sure what made me first buy it ? maybe it was a special offer in the local Victoria Wine. I don?t know, all I know is that is a premium bottled lager that I have made repeat purchases on since. The beer is to considered a premium lager I would say, as it?s alcohol content stands at 5.0%
To highlight the best offer at the moment you can buy 8 x 330ml bottles from ...
