lovely hotel staff very helpful and friendly. food a little unamaginative but filling.could be more italian.hotel not handy to the beach with a fairly long walk downhill and an even longer walk back uphill. not for the disabled or infirm. pool o.k but small,kept very clean and tidy.rooms small but kept very clean most with balcony's. reception open 24 hrs although money exchange only between 9am and 9pm. supermarket next door selling everything. road outside very busy and a danger to health for the unwary but the traffic is the same anywhere in italy. if booking this hotel consider asking for a room at the back and high up so as to be away from the noise of scooters and cars. the resort is lovely with wonderful views,you must join one of the optional excursions along the amalfi coast,unforgettable,or the trips to pompii and herculanium.I suspect these last two trips might be a little difficult in the summer due to the heat but we went in may and enjoyed every minute.to sum up this holiday was one of our better ones and given the opportunity we will certainly return to sorrento and the ascot hotel.

welcome to Ciao, A brief but fairly informative review, could of been slightly longer and a bit more info about amenities, Food, nearby facilities etc but none the less it gives an idea of what to expect.
